Denise Einkauf, Owner

Waggin’ Tails Pet Ranch opened in October 2005 and is owned by Denise Einkauf. Denise has Animal Science and Biomedical Science degrees from Texas A&M and has over 20 years of animal experience. Denise has a passion for animals and people and it shows in her business. Her family lives on site and she oversees every aspect of the business. Denise explains, “We opened Waggin’ Tails to change the way that pets are boarded because we always hated to leave our pets in a “kennel”. We wanted to offer a ‘family’ approach to boarding. We get to know the dogs and owners personally. Our goal is to let the dogs have so much fun that they leave tired and happy and want to return. My favorite thing about my job is watching the dogs bolt from the car to get in the door here because they love us.”

Tony Smith, Kennel Manager

Tony Smith has worked at Waggin’ Tails almost 4 years. Tony served in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years and served our country in Desert Storm. Prior to joining the Waggin’ Tails staff, he was a manager at Popeye’s Chicken and won the Gold Plate, which is an award given to only 6 fast food restaurants in the entire United States. Tony lives with Devin, his son, and Semper, his lab. About Waggin’ Tails, Tony said, "I love being a part of a team that loves what they do and do it well."

Vicky Klekar, Office Manager

Vicky Klekar has been a part of the Waggin’ Tails family for 3 1/2 years in the role of office manager. Vicky is a people person and says the best part of her job is working with the clients and staff. Previously, Vicky owned her own design company where she sold wallpaper, paint and window coverings. Vicky has 3 grown children, a granddaughter and another granchild on the way, and 2 dogs named Macy and Harley. She also has 2 "grandpuppies", Diablo and Bugsy. This year, Vicky traveled to Scotland for her daughter’s wedding. She enjoys reading and movies, and her favorite dog breed is the Boston Terrier. Says WT owner Denise Einkauf, " Vicky is a wonderful asset to the Waggin’ Tails team and the Ranch wouldn’t be the same without her."
